Twister. You son of a bitch!

Well here we go again. Twister the film we’ve all seen but no one ever remembers. This film is the answer to the question what happens if we make Jurassic park but instead of dinosaurs we use tornados? Granted it’s a question no one was asking but there you go. Confused? Well you should be.

Meet Bill. Bill is a former storm chaser and now weather man with anger issues. He’s trying to get a divorce from his ex wife Joe so he can marry his new love interest Melissa, but Joe is giving him the run around. Then the twister hit and they all go off on a merry old adventure to try and open a dustbin full of weather sensors inside a tornado.

After many failed attempts, flying cows, a pick up truck that is apparently heavier than a lorry full of gas and Bill splitting up with his fiancée and hooking up with joe again they do it! Yay the world is saved!

There’s two groups of storm chasers the rag tag band of stoners headed up by Bill, Joe and the wonderful Dusty I forgot everybody else’s names, And the professionals headed up by Dr Jonas Miller and the other people in this film.

Dr Jonas is trying to do the same thing as joe and Bill but he got funding to do it properly this makes him the enemy apparently! Sadly he dies trying to get his dustbin in front of the tornado though.

Honestly I give up trying to explain it it’s a film which is all about the special effects and plot which makes little sense. unfortunately the special effects haven’t really stood the test of time. The sounds track is all over the place we start off with some jaunty music that belongs in a western then they try to spice it up a bit with and 80s guitar solo later on. I felt myself falling asleep during the last ten minutes I’m surprised I made it that long. I probably wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for copious amounts of coffee!
