Crust-My first review

Well that was not what I was expecting in the slightest. When Liam first told me of this boxing shrimp movie I was fully expecting a Disney spin off of the little mermaid. I couldn’t have been further from what is was.

My brother is a complete computer wizz and can download anything I ask within a matter of minutes. This was not the case with Crust. He spent around half an hour looking before I remembered Liam sending me a link. Even after the link it still took him an while with him proceeding to come back and forth asking weather this movie was worth all the hassle. ‘It’s not available on any streaming site and by the reviews I’ve seen I think it’s best that way’ but we finally got it.

Not really my sort of movie but as I’ve only just joined this group it was definitely a memorable first movie to review. I give a score of 3/10. I felt a weird emotional attachment to the poor shrimp and wanted nothing more than to jump right into the movie and set that thing free. Been as the shrimp in this movie was around 20 times bigger than the average mantis shrimp, I’m glad to see that it ended up back in the ocean and not been used as main attraction at the local sealife centre.

The movie seemed to have been dragged out probably half an hour more than I would have liked, I think an hours program would have been just fine. I probably would have gave it a higher score if we was to see more of the shrimp boxing and a little less of bill rubbing that thick cream all over the shrimps crusty shell. Also what was with all them condoms? Was bill and that shrimp having an intimate relationship the whole time and we only caught on to it as he was caught thrusting the tied up shrimp in doggy style over the bath??

So many questions left unanswered but as movies go I’m definitely glad to have watched it.
